My Life In The "9-5" Mode:

  • 6:30AM – Woke up to an Ugly Alarm Sound. This was always hard.
  • 8:00AM – At Work where I saw a bunch of other unfulfilled colleagues trying to look happy.
  • Noon - One hour lunch break if I was lucky
  • 7:30PM – Finally Home after spending 45min in traffic
  • 8:00PM-10:00PM – Dinner and something else I could squeeze in this time period. Usually talked about the fact that we need more money, how the day was frustrating because I had more pressure to meet a certain deadline, and how I wish I could live like the “guy in the movie”
  • 10:00PM –went to bed Tired and Frustrated only to wake up doing the Exact Same Thing Over, and Over and Over and Over Again
  • Weekends – slept in late due to lack of rest, watched movies, more work as my boss was encouraging us to work more from home in order to meet deadlines.

 

My Lifestyle Now As A Home Business Entrepreneur:

  • Wake Up and Focus On My Goals. Didn’t always do this but I realized that it can a powerful thing and it can be a variety of things. It can be a prayer of thanks, or focusing on what I am grateful for.
  • Have breakfast overlooking four beautiful lakes.
  • Stroll into my home office, reply to some emails, and look at my to-do list for the day.
  • Log in to my online business center to see who has requested information on our business.  I love that we have a system that's at my fingertips whether I'm in my home office or sitting on the balcony of a hotel.  Everything I need is in one place.
  • Listen to a 15 min. daily “Wake Up To Success” Call. This is powerful. There is nothing else like getting together with a group of other big-thinkers for a morning conversation before starting the day.
  • Go to the local gym for a nice workout. I follow a very effective program that allows me to be in shape. It could either be jogging, or lifting weights. Very refreshing.
  • Return a few phone calls to those who had responded to my ads and are waiting to hear back from me. This is ridiculously simple.  Each of these calls only lasts 3-5 minutes because I'm not calling to "pitch" them or to convince them that they need to be doing what I'm doing.  I'm calling to introduce myself, see what they're looking to accomplish in a home business and see if they're serious enough to qualify for the information I've got. 
  • Go out for lunch or have a home-cooked meal. Usually Kay is the one who likes to cook – She is the most amazing cook.
  • After lunch I either run a few errands, bike or walk around the lake, or play volleyball with a group of friends.
  • Get home to return other phone calls or send a couple of emails. Again, these are people who are asking me to contact them about my business.  I'll probably set about 8 appointments for serious people to attend a live business overview call later in the evening. This doesn’t take more than one or two hours.
  • Spend about an hour on personal development, meditation or reading. This one of the favorite parts of my day as my income and self growth keeps growing in proportion to the work I do on myself.
  • Enjoy time with Kay, and my family, or whatever. I am done. At this time I’ve “worked” for about 3-4 hours for the day. It is time to fire up the grill, maybe invite a few friends over, go to a movie, whatever.

And that’s my Lifestyle…At least Monday to Thursday.  On Friday I “close shop” by 1PM, mentor kids with a non-profit organization, and then either go out and may decide to stay home and spend more time with Benzy – who is so awesome and doesn’t know he is a cat.

Saturday and Sunday I am mostly outside of the house… usually traveling, meeting friends and family, writing, reading, playing sports or learning something new – currently taking Tang Soo Do (a form of Korean martial arts that combines serious self-defense techniques with a spiritual guidance), improving my ballroom dancing skills and investing in real estate.

And do you want to hear the best part? There is nothing in that list that I can’t do from anywhere in the world with a computer and a phone. As the matter of fact, my most profitable days have been when I have been on vacation.

That Is My Lifestyle and Yes, IT IS REAL...
